NBK Run 2021
For the past 25 years and in line with our social responsibility, we have encouraged you to walk step by step for your health and wellbeing in NBK walkathon. This year, the Walk has become a Run, NBK Run will take that challenge a bit further, whether you are a professional runner, athlete, or even a beginner. The NBK Run will be held on December 4th, 2021 with a distance of 11km across the Arabian Gulf road, get ready and take that challenge!
Date: Saturday, 4 December 2021
Time: 8:30 AM (for all categories)
Location: From Green Island to Shuwaikh Beach Park, Arabian Gulf Road
Distance: 11 km
Age: 15 years old and above

Fees: KD 8
Registration Requirements
All participants must be vaccinated.
Prizes
1. Grand Prize: Nissan X-TERRA 2021 car from Al Babtain Group (1 winner)
2. Prizes For Each Category:
- First Place: KD 1,000 (2 winners)
- Second Place: KD 700 (2 winners)
- Third Place: KD 500 (2 winners)
Kit Collection
Place: Al Shaheed Park Multi-purpose Hall in Phase 1, next to Starbucks
Date: Tuesday, 30 November – Thursday, 2 December, 2021
Time: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Important Information
1. Car Parking: Green Island and Shuwaikh Beach Park
2. Transportation: Buses will be available to transport participants to and from the start and finish points from 6:30 AM
3. Medical Aid: Available along the entire race line and Shuwaikh Beach
4. Water Points: Available along the entire race line
5. Disqualification: All participants must commit to the rules of running. If any participant seeks outside help, he/she will be dismissed from the race
6. Awards Ceremony: Starts at 10:00 AM at Shuwaikh Beach Park
7. Final Results: All results will be supervised and authorized by the Event Management Company (SUFFIX)
The numbers have been classified as per the following age groups:
Colored Numbers Determine Age Groups as Follows:
Green Age 12 – 20
Light blue Age 21 – 35
Yellow Age 36 – 49
Black Age 50 – 59
Red Age 60 & above
The participants should wear the number that is provided in order by the NBK Walkathon organizing committee.
All participants will have the chance to enter a draw to win one of the Two new Nissan Cars provided by Al Babtain Group.
Last day to collect the t-shirts and numbers is on Thursday 6 December 2019.
Please note that the t-shirts and numbers will not be distributed after the deadline.
T-shirts and numbers are in limited quantities.

Children’s Activities
Location: Shuwaikh Beach Park
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Age: 5 – 11 years old

Time: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

The Children’s Activities Will Be Organized by Circuit+ and Will Include:
- Box Step-overs (higher boxes to be used for Group 1)
- Crawling
- Tire Jumps
- Wall Climbs (Slanted/Regular)
- Sand Bag Carry (different weights for different age groups)
- Water Jumps
- Under/Overs
- Monkey Bars
- Zumba
- Yoga Routine
- Boot Camp Activities
Important Information:
- The Starting Point: Children must be present half an hour before the race time.
- Participant Number: Children must wear the number that is provided by the NBK Walkathon Organizing Committee.
- Children Kit Collection: Thursday 6 December 2019. No kits will be distributed after the deadline. If either t-shirt or number quantities run out, we will unfortunately not be able to provide an alternative; even if they have previously registered.
- Children Kit Contents: Aprons, cap and the NBK Walkathon brochure.
- Medical Aid: Available at the Shuwaikh Beach Park.
- Disclaimer: NBK has no liability towards the children. The children are at their guardian’s responsibility during and after the activities of the Walkathon Day.
